Bursts command in villages of Tierra Caliente and kidnaps 8 people

Chilpancingo. Gro.- Gunmen kept besieged three communities in the municipality of Ajuchitlán del Progreso where he kidnapped at least 8 people and executed another in this place located in the restive region of Tierra Caliente entity, although residents say they are 10 plagiarized.

The violent incidents were recorded during last Sunday in the towns of San Cristobal, San Gabriel and San Marcos where the criminal gang operated with impunity until the early hours of the next day refers to the testimony of local people.

Even though the citizen complaint about what was happening in this stretch of the entity furrowed by the Balsas River, soldiers and state police arrived on the scene 12 hours later, when armed civilians and had retired with persons deprived of their freedom, criticized the settlers.


According to official reports, the armed incursion began in the town of San Cristobal near midnight Sunday where they forcibly took four men and executed one in this small town located in the vicinity of the municipal head.

Apparently, the victims are dedicated to people and goods crossing in boats called pangas crude on the Balsas River.

Later the criminal group moved to the neighboring town of San Gabriel, where have kidnapped four others in the community of San Marcos.

Violent action caused some families leave their communities and take refuge in the head of this municipality administered by the PRI Mayor Onofre Santana Ramirez, the only one with personal protection through the state police because he was threatened with death by the narco.

Since 2014, federal police took over security functions in the nine municipalities that make up the region of Tierra Caliente of Guerrero because all municipal policemen were disarmed by their alleged links with crime.

However, the crime rate has not declined in the adjoining states of Michoacan and Mexico where the narco control entire territories strip, a situation that has caused massive displacement of people by violence, as well as a trail of terror and death that no ceases.

Security spokesman in the state, Roberto Alvarez, confirmed the kidnapping in the municipality of Ajuchitlán of progress.

He said that eight men deprived of their liberty unlawfully, not 10 as reported yesterday the settlers of the area.

The official said only that the whereabouts of the victims is unknown and presumably the Army and state police conducted tours to try to locate the hostages.
