Confronted since 2008, when the government seized the Mochomo, the armies of the Sinaloa cartel and the Beltran Leyva brothers have been involved in skirmishes in many parts of the country and with bloody results.
But habfían never done in the land that gave birth to all. In their own people, who they seemed shrines.
Culiacan, Sin.- On Saturday 11, a command of at least 150 men, hooded and heavily armed, stormed the town of La Tuna, Badiraguato, looking for the older brother of Joaquin El Chapo Guzman Loera Guzman Aureliano, El Guano.
There were outstanding accounts with Guzman, dating back to 2008, when Alfredo Beltran Leyva, El Mochomo, was arrested, but escalated with the death of Ernesto Guzman Hidalgo, half brother of Chapo, in April 2015, death allegedly approved by the Guano, which meant that old grudges exploit that Saturday.
In response to the decision of the people, Loera Guzman sent at least 200 men, brought from different parts of the country to face the invaders and recover La Tuna, the people who for decades shielded and controlled the former head of the drug cartel Sinaloa, now prisoner day Cefereso number 9 in Ciudad Juarez.
It was this war that nobody anticipated that beached residents of the communities of Arroyo Seco, La Palma and La Tuna, who, terrified by the violence and the impending war, chose to flee their homes to seek refuge with family and friends in Culiacan and in the municipal head of Badiraguato.
Against Guzman
What appeared to be the safest place in the mountains, La Tuna, Badiraguato, considered by many to be the heartland of Joaquin El Chapo Guzman, became the cruelest of hell, when more than 150 men took by assault the populated. They killed at least seven men in clashes and executions.
According to several sources consulted at the time of the assault nearly 80 of those men, all dressed in black, wearing bulletproof vests and black caps where the insignia "DEA" and "Interpol" were read, went to the house of Consuelo Loera, mother Joaquin Guzman, in search of Guano; simultaneously another 50 gunmen took by assault an adobe house, which is next to the road leading to San José de El Barranco, looking for Angel Guzman, one of the main operators of Aureliano.
According narrated witnesses, Angel Guzman lived opposite one of the two grocery stores there in the village, and would have reached to listen to the arrival of the gunmen, so fast was for their weapons, and when his enemies came for him , he received shots from inside, killing one of his attackers, while bullets had run the rest.
The gunmen tried to answer, but Angel had barricaded inside his home, and his assailants were gasoline to the grocery store across the street and set fire to the house, then, weapons in hand, waiting for Angel to come out.
Five minutes passed and the house was burning when Angel Guzman appeared unexpectedly one of the front doors and an AK-47 submachine gun in each hand, shooting right and left to their enemies.
It was not enough to empty all the shots, when he was shot by gunmen, who had surrounded the house and were waiting.
Nothing helped the flak pechera who had to risk their lives or grenades dangling from his vest, but managed to take another before being gunned down. The two who were swept away Huixiopa was said.
"With five as Angel would have coped with all these people, but the town was only because the Guano confided , " she lamented a resident of La Tuna and friend of Guzman Loera.
A few meters away, Consuelo Perez Loera, 87, was inside her home when the gunmen burst into search of her son Aureliano.
As it was reported, was nearly 10 am when the assault, when Consuelo fail to pray. So when he heard the shots and several men enter his home, he went out to see what was happening.
Women who help Dona Consuelo in housework say, that the mother of capo did not move a finger to stop the attackers, only stared at them with a Bible in his hands as the gunmen reviewed every corner of the house Guano looking, but finding nothing, only they took one Razer and four dirt bikes.
Five minutes earlier, one of the employees of Consuelo, who only identified himself as El Rayo, he had run to the grocery store, but when almost arrived at the store, he found people Huixiopa, who quickly recognized, and as if it were one of his enemies, he was shot to death.
As explained later, El Rayo walked unarmed, and there was no need to kill him.
Nearby, one of the gunmen Guano, identified as El Chuy, would have left the village heading to San José del Barranco, but hearing the shots that took the death of Ray, returned to La Tuna to see what it was. It was the last thing he did; entering the village he was riddled with shots from AK-47 rifles.
It was precisely those shots that would alert Angel Guzman before they came for him.
old sludge
On April 11, 2015, Ernesto Guzman Hidalgo was raised, tortured and murdered by a commando in Bacacoragua, a community anchored in the Sierra de Badiraguato, 20 kilometers before reaching La Tuna.
According to information from people familiar with the case, the murderer of Ernesto was an individual identified only with the first name "Christopher", alias The 02 -old chief of hitmen Aureliano Guzman, and the apparent motive of the execution was because Don Ernesto "Guano was catching for the government to arrest him."
But to escape the prison El Chapo, on July 11, 2015, it found that Ernesto never attempted to betray the Guano. Eight months after the murder of Ernesto, the 02 was executed along with seven of his men on the outskirts of San José del Barranco. It was on December 18, 2015.
But the death of 02 did nothing to appease the desire for revenge of relatives or partners of Ernesto, and for that reason was that it took to La Tuna.
Dark in the shadows
The village of La Tuna has always been shielded, and enter the community without permission is almost risk their lives.
So the 150 men who came to take it did at night, and it had to walk across hills and gaps to reach their target; most of them did the northern part of town, it is said, "Chihuahua side."
In La Tuna anyone the assault was expected, and as El Guano and its people were not in the village, the attackers, led by people from the Beltran Leyva, and other partners Ernesto Guzman, not struggled to get the people and strip the inhabitants of several vehicles, including razers, motorbikes, and trucks 4 × 4.
"Pure Beltranes here; they did pay well, not like Guzman , "it said the gunmen shouted to the four winds as they walked through the village, while others cut the telephone wires and Internet communication to avoid.
It seemed he had done everything, and the next day, kept watch while the body of Angel Guzman, the Beltran Leyva gunmen returned to the village and violently entered the funeral, to get two other pointers Guano who were there.
After disarm and hincarlos on the street, they made both pointers put their hands behind his neck, then run them with AK-47 rifles.
From captivity
After the slaughter of the weekend, El Chapo Guzman learned what was happening at home and would then ordered to "execute the invaders" had gotten home of his mother, and since the closure gave orders to end with all of them, according to sources revealed La Tuna.
It would be coincidence, or part of power that still keeps the bonnet, but from Tuesday to Wednesday, planes landed near the Nogalito, a few kilometers north of La Tuna; They come loaded with about 200 gunmen to face Beltran Leyva.
When the inhabitants of La Tuna, Arroyo Seco and La Palma learned of the arrival of more gunmen, they began to evict these peoples and to migrate in search of asylum to Culiacan and other towns of Badiraguato, leaving the gunmen ready to power their weapons.
Since then and to date they have been reported several clashes in that area, but so far it is not known if there are more dead or wounded, and only know that the Navy and the Mexican Army arrived since Wednesday 15 at night to La Tuna and La Palma, to settle there.
"They are installed in schools Hermenegildo Galeana, La Tuna and in the Ramona Leyva, La Palma; the latter had built Alfredo Beltran Leyva and put the name of his mother, because the government did not help and with that , "said one resident of that community, who claimed to be premium Chapo and Guano.
" It 's wrong what they did (to kill Ernesto), there was no need to kill innocent people, but that is no longer a problem that is solved with nothing , " he said the woman.
Always victims
Between 250 and 300 families left the communities of La Tuna, Arroyo Seco and La Palma, in the municipality of Badiraguato, fleeing the violence generated by attacks and clashes between groups of the Sinaloa cartel and the Beltran Leyva.
Versions of the City of Badiraguato indicate that displaced families went to nearby communities, but also to the municipal head and Culiacan, to homes of relatives and friends.
